What is MAMA
"MAMA was started out of the love for independent film. Being an independent filmmaker myself, I wanted to create a space where films from likeminded directors and film professionals can be shown, discussed and ultimately celebrated. I grew up in a time when the 'film' had all the power. Now the audiences are swamped with an endless stream of movie choices, but with little time to absorb and engage with anything meaningful. MAMA aims to slow things down a bit, as we believe good filmic storytelling only needs the right environment to become as powerful as it once was."
